Mike Pecci - Photographer
Mike Pecci (Sureality) took up photography with the intention to practice his craft as a movie cinematographer. Shooting and developing 35mm still film was a cost effective way to work on his lighting techniques and compositions. Pecci's photographs began to get noticed by hundreds of fans that visited his art gallery on Deviantart.com. Mike’s work ranged from the dark and grainy look of his “subway series” to the soft but vivid capture of his most popular photo “It’s Snowing”.
It wasn’t long before Pecci’s work started showing up on magazine covers such as the “The Boston Phoenix” and “Weekly Dig”. His photo of rapper “Edo G” broke him into the rock and roll photography scene. Mike has taken photos of some of the biggest metal and hardcore bands today and has had his work used on album covers, websites, and featured articles. Recently Mike has been contracted by SuicideGirls to create high profiled and wildly creative photo sets that take pinup girls and make them into strong iconic figures. His work continues to expend in size and scope with his recent collaboration with award winning production designer, Lawrence Sampson. Together they have captured bathing barbarian beauties, post apocalyptic android mechanics, and blood thirty zombie killers. It is only the beginning.
